After a six-year suspension, Air Canada relaunched nonstop service between Toronto Pearson Airport (YYZ) and Shanghai Pudong Airport (PVG) on June 3, 2026. This marks a major milestone in Canada–China aviation connectivity.

Flight AC27 departs Toronto on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. The return service, AC28, flies from Shanghai on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. The scheduled westbound block time reaches up to 16 hours, though the inaugural flight landed in approximately 14.5 hours — well ahead of schedule.
This year-round service operates four times weekly in each direction, restoring a direct link absent from Air Canada's network since 2020.
