CLARKSVILLE, Ind., June 4, 2026 — Denver-based fast-casual chain Teriyaki Madness has signed a lease for its first location in southern Indiana, with a new restaurant set to open at 1225 Veterans Parkway in Clarksville this fall. The site places the Teriyaki Madness Clarksville shop between Chillburger and Joint Chiropractic along the busy commercial corridor, and marks the brand's debut in both Indiana and Kentucky.
The Clarksville opening is part of a broader regional push for Teriyaki Madness, which also has a second southern Indiana location planned at 3546 E. 10th Street in Jeffersonville. Together, the two sites signal the chain's intent to establish a foothold in the Louisville metropolitan area on both sides of the Ohio River.
Teriyaki Madness Clarksville: What Diners Can Expect
Teriyaki Madness serves Seattle-style teriyaki in rice and noodle bowls, built around a made-to-order format. Customers choose from proteins including grilled chicken, steak, salmon and tofu, paired with house-made sauces and customizable toppings. The menu is designed around fresh preparation rather than pre-made or frozen ingredients a positioning the brand uses to differentiate itself in the competitive fast-casual Asian-food segment.
The Clarksville location expects to employ between 20 and 26 people when it opens, according to a report by Louisville Business First. No specific opening date within the fall 2026 window has been announced.
Fast-Casual Asian Franchise Sees Record Systemwide Growth in 2026
The Clarksville announcement arrives as Teriyaki Madness posts some of its strongest growth figures to date. The company began 2026 with a 28 percent year-over-year increase in systemwide sales across its more than 200 locations, and signed 10 new franchisees with 18 new locations in the pipeline.
The growth builds on a 46 percent increase in total shop count over the past two years, with a projected 46 new shops targeted for opening across 2026. Much of that expansion is being driven from within the existing franchisee network, with operators referring friends and family into the system.
Michael Haith, chief executive officer of Teriyaki Madness, said the pace of growth reflects tighter unit-level operations across the system.
"We've spent the past year tightening operations and improving unit-level performance, and now we're seeing that discipline show up in the numbers. The operators coming into this system aren't experimenting they're executing, and the ones already in it are referring others, finding ways to move faster and open more shops,"

Jodi Boyce, chief marketing officer at Teriyaki Madness, pointed to menu development and technology upgrades as additional drivers of the chain's first-quarter performance.
"When you combine menu improvements like Double Protein with upgraded technology and a growing base of franchisees, it creates a model that is easier to operate, more profitable to run and built to scale across markets,"

Regional Franchise Expansion Targets Louisville Metro Market
The chain's entry into the Louisville area follows a pattern seen elsewhere in its growth strategy, where franchisees with multi-unit experience in adjacent markets take on new territories. Teriyaki Madness was founded in Las Vegas in 2003 and has since expanded to around 230 locations across the United States.
The Jeffersonville location at 3546 E. 10th Street, listed on the brand's website alongside the Clarksville site, would give the franchisee two locations in Clark County, Indiana. No opening timeline for the Jeffersonville unit has been confirmed.
The fast-casual Asian segment continues to rank among the fastest-growing categories in the U.S. restaurant industry. Teriyaki Madness opened 46 shops in 2025, rolling out across 41 states and internationally. The Clarksville opening would extend the brand's reach into a market that has seen steady commercial development along the Veterans Parkway corridor in recent years.
